Project Engineer

California Drywall is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, reliable Project Engineer for its Drywall Division. As a Project Engineer, you’ll have both field experience and training opportunities to ensure you’re on a path for growth within the organization.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager and team members in the planning, coordination, and administration of assigned projects to ensure cost, schedule, and quality standards are met. This includes areas such as
    • RFI’s
    • Submittals
    • Contracts
    • Pricing
    • Change orders
    • Purchasing
    • Scheduling
    • Progress reports
    • Schedules
    • Assist Safety Team and Job Foremen with the implementation of job site safety procedures, meetings, notifications, signage, supplies, and equipment.
    • Communicate effectively with the General Contractor, Architect and Owner, coordinating team meetings, completing contract documents, and reviewing consultant and contractor pay applications.
    • Liaison between field, office management and general contractors.

Desired Candidate Experience

  • Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or completion of Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and procedures
  • Ability to read and understand architectural plans and specifications for our scope of work
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in team environment
  • Work well under pressure and deadline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PPT, Access)
  • Working knowledge of the following a plus
  • PlanGrid
  • Bluebeam
  • Procore
  • MS Project
  • Primavera P6
  • Navisworks
  • Revit
  • Able to work with customers, building strong relationships
